My beautiful bride is a master at asking questions: questions that are doors to what others think and feel. Many, many times I’ve heard someone say “That’s a really good question” and then think for a while before answering one of her skilled questions. When she’s in coaching mode, the questions help people realise things about themselves. When she’s in friendship mode, her questions help her, and others, know the other person better.

Questions can be a powerful tool for your marriage, especially if you learn how to ask great questions. Great questions can’t be answered with a yes or a no. They dig into who a person is. Great questions are never leading or accusing.
