While doing some research on something else, I came across a great idea for sharing difficult things with your hubby.

Bob and Sue Frause use “headline speak” to add a bit of humour to asking for something or sharing something that could bring a negative reaction. So, for example, if Bob was supposed to do the dishes and didn’t, Sue might say, “Man leaves dishes in sink, woman throws pot out window.”

Humour is disarming and it tells the other person you’re not really mad. Be it headline speak or something else, a bit of humour can make potentially touchy situations easier.
