Years ago Lori and I were discussing how different we are, and how differently we approach many tasks. Lori mentioned something that I did that she would never do. Then she said the most wonderful thing. She said, “But it works for you.“

Those words blessed me because it told me she wasn’t trying to change me, or trying to convince me I was wrong. She was pointing out a difference in how we approach life, but she also validated my way of doing it.
