How would you feel if someone you cared about always seemed too busy for you? When you asked for some time, you either heard a flat-out no, or got, “I’ll see if I can squeeze you in.”

I hear from a lot of men that this is their usual experience with their wife. If they don’t ask a week out, she’s too busy. Even if they secure a promise of time, she often cancels due to other things. The result is he feels like he’s not important – and how can you blame him for feeling this way? The slightly less horrible version of this is the woman who’s always too busy for certain things. Sex is a common one, but it happens with other things too. Selectively being too busy isn’t fooling anyone, it’s just an excuse.

And yes, I know this is not female specific. I know some men who are always too busy for what their wife wants. It’s just as wrong when it’s him doing it.
