The female brain is wired for relationship. More of the female brain is devoted to relationship behaviour and skills than is true for the male brain. His brain is more wired for skills that make him good at understanding mechanical things. I’m not saying men are inherently better at such things, but it tends to come more easily to men because of how their brain is designed. Some of this is about culture and learning, but much of it is hardwired.

Because of differences in how we’re wired and how we’re socialised, men generally use words to exchange facts and ideas. Women are more likely to use words to communicate feelings. Of course, this is a gross generalisation, but it’s still valid. 

So, when your husband says something, assume he is trying to communicate facts. And, when you want to communicate about feelings, make sure he is aware it’s feelings that are the issue. If you get him on the feeling page before you start it will result in less frustration for both of you.
