So do you love the holidays or hate them?

I suspect for most of us it’s a mixture of the two. We can, if we so choose, eliminate much of the bad.
If you make a sane plan and stick to it, the holidays can be more good than bad and more blessing than stress. One big obstacle to that is the expectations of others. I’m all for honouring our parents, but I think that stops short of accepting abuse and misery. Likewise for our friends. We can’t accept every invitation, and trying to squeeze in as many as possible is a good way to ruin the holidays. Learn to say, “Thank you, but I can’t.” and stick to that no matter what.
One other holiday killer is spending too much. My wonderful wife addressed that one the other day.
Grab your hubby and make a plan now so this year’s holidays are better than last year’s.
Speaking of my wonderful wife: Lori has started posting a question for couples each Sunday. I will post it here on Monday, and it will go out to Twitter and Facebook on Mondays. Use these as a way of learning more about your husband!
♥ #CouplesQuestion: What five things do you like that start with the letter “C”?
~ Paul – I’m XY, and I’m learning less is way more when it comes to holidays
