Yesterday was our 34th anniversary!!

I’d like to tell you what Lori has done to make our marriage great. And no, I’m not going to say she did that by giving me all the sex I want! *

1. For as long as I have known Lori, she has wanted to be right with God. She wants to see and deal with her sins, her failure, and her shortcomings. This means she has become a better and better person day after month after year. It means she has become a better, more loving, and far more generous wife.
2. Lori has also made what I want and what I enjoy a priority in her life. As an example, we are doing a cruise for our anniversary. (Pro Tip: There are great Black Friday sales for past cruisers.) Several of the shore excursions were for snorkelling, something I’ve always wanted to do. Lori was also interested in doing this, but it meant finding something to swim in, in January. My wife is missing a common female gene, and she HATES shopping for clothes. And yet, she went and looked and tried on various things until she found something that would work. I know she would not have done this for herself, but she wants me to do what I enjoy so she did it for me so we could share the experience.

* As to sex, the two things above mean she had dealt with her abusive past (because she knew God wanted her to) and she has worked to enjoy sex because it’s important to me to share good sex with her.
