Several years ago I tweeted the following:
What if grumpy isn’t just how you are, what if it’s SIN? #MarriageTip

The dictionary defines grumpy as “bad-tempered and irritable“. I’m pretty sure those things are not okay with God. He certainly was not happy with the children of Isreal when they got grumpy in the wilderness. As I recall, a few of them died for that.
I understand how easy it is to be grumpy. Life can be difficult, and sometimes it seems like people are going out of their way to upset us! But we’re told to be better than this. We’re told to see the good. We’re told to bless, not curse.
Some of you have more than enough reason to be grumpy, but that doesn’t excuse it. It also doesn’t make it easy for your husband to deal with it or make him want to be around you when you’re grumpy. This is one of the big reasons why men try to limit time with their wives.
~ Paul – I’m XY, and Lori and I both apologise when we realise we’ve been grumpy.
