Some folks use prayer requests as a way of gossiping. That’s bad enough, but apparently, there is a particularly ugly version of this in which a woman uses a “prayer request” as a way of making others think badly of her husband.

The worst case of this is a prayer request that suggests, or flat out says, their husband is not saved – even when said husband is an active part of the church. If you ever hear such a request, please take the offender aside and let them know what they are doing is disrespectful and wrong.

There is also the less horrible but far more common use of prayer requests as a way of gossiping.
