Hold It

The other day, I was at my son’s house when the grandsons had a bath. Afterwards, they each ran around naked with one hand on their penis until mom had the bathroom cleaned up and chased them down with clothes.

It reminded me of a friend’s son who when his diaper was changed would say “Hold it?” This was his way of asking for his diaper to be left off for a few minutes so he could fondle himself.

The reality is touching the penis feels good. It can be non-sexual and still be pleasant. It can also be comforting. Most adult men fondle themselves. If you’ve never seen your husband do it he might be an exception, but the odds are far greater he just doesn’t let you see for fear of what you would say.

With all of that as background, I’d like to suggest you do some non-sexual fondling of your husband’s penis.

This suggestion comes with a variety of caveats.

  • If you’re not having as much sex as he’d like, this is a bad plan.
  • If you’re newlywed or he’s young, non-sexual and penis may not be in his reality yet.
  • Let him know you want to touch him a bit, but it’s not an invitation to sex. Ask if he’s okay with that.
  • Initially do this after sex.
  • Fondling him after lights out when you’re both half asleep is a good way to do it.
  • If he gets a bit hard that’s fine. But a full erection is going to move his mind to sex.

If you can do this you give him a bit of pleasure and you tell him you like his penis. You may also help him to see sex differently.
