Some men will argue with you endlessly just because they enjoy it. But many men want peace at home. The second kind of man my surrender and pretend to agree, or at least not express disagreement, to get that peace. This is not agreement.

Another version of this is to just ignore what his wife says most of the time.

I’m not suggesting either of these is appropriate, but they do happen. I’ve had a number of men tell me they do these things because their wife just won’t shut up (their words). If you overwhelm him with words, he is likely to look for an escape.
