Have you ever considered a man other than your husband and wished your husband was like him in some way?

I suspect most of us, male and female, have done that. But while it’s natural, it’s also a really bad plan. Your husband is a package deal; you can’t swap out parts you don’t like, and wishing for it leads to problems.*

Ask yourself if what you don’t like was something you knew about him before you married him. (Or should have known if you were paying attention.) If it is, you knew that was part of the package when you bought it. Being upset about it now is disingenuous. On the other hand, if he has changed, then it’s fair to ask him why and see if he will go back to how he was when you got married. Of course, the risk in this is it could open up some places where he’s not happy about how you have changed!
