I wonder how many women have experienced the bone-weary exhaustion that comes from a long hard physical day. I know Lori “gets” this because for a while she worked one day a week with me when I was doing landscape and lawn care in the Texas heat. Those Fridays we always brought home fast food because neither of us was up to even warming up a frozen dinner. 

This kind of tiredness is different from lack of sleep tried or busy/stressful day tired. I can recall getting home after a ten or twelve-hour day in the heat and sitting in the truck trying to get up the energy to move from the truck to the house. A few times I sat there so long Lori came out worried about me.

If you’ve experienced this first hand, you probably have great sympathy for your husband when he feels that way. You probably also do things that are usually his job so he can just fall down. If you have not experienced this kind of tiredness, please accept that it leaves you uninterested in doing much of anything and literally unable to do some things.
