Since I started to work from home, next to my wonderful wife who does the same, I’ve made an effort to do a share of the household stuff. But yard care (clearing land, mowing an acre, turning trees into firewood, and so on) has continued to be “my job”. Lori was willing and helped some, but most of the jobs and tools were too much for her. 

Last year she came up with a solution. We got a battery-powered string trimmer for her to use. It’s small, light, and amazingly powerful. I still do the first cut on tall stuff with the gas trimmer, but she now does 95% of the trimming, leaving me free to do the heavier work.

How could you take a bit of something off your husband?
