Sadly some women are perfectly fine doing something that they know in their heart is wrong because they find it easy or comfortable. Kind of like a lot of men.

I said that in reply to a comment here recently.

I hear men and women both explaining why something they know in their hearts is wrong is actually okay. Or acceptable, or inevitable, or the lesser of two evils, or some other words that allow them to do it despite knowing it’s wrong.

Most of the men who use porn know it’s wrong. They may deny that to others and to themselves, but I bet they would not tell God it’s okay. They just avoid the issue with God and they certainly don’t pray about it. They pray about all the things their wife does that “causes them to use porn” but that’s just part of the denial process.

And yeah, women do it too. Most women who refuse sex on a regular basis know it’s wrong. Likewise for a variety of other sins.

The great denial buster is prayer. Telling God about the things your husband does that causes you to do whatever is one thing. How about telling Him why you think what you do is okay? Even more dangerous, give Him “permission” to show you where you are in sin denial.
