Painless Behaviour Modification

If you want your husband to repeat a certain behaviour, show appreciation when he does that thing. In fact, as best as you can, show appreciation every time he does it. If you want to discourage him from repeating a behaviour, don’t show appreciation.

Okay, I admit this is not a man only thing, but it works very well with men. He wants to be appreciated by you – probably more than you know.

BTW, if he has stopped doing something you wish he had kept doing, is it possible you nudged him away from it by not showing appreciation? It’s easy to become complacent and stop showing gratitude.
