More Sex Might Make Sex Better

Lori and I have had a number of women tell us that having sex more often means they enjoy it more. It’s not universal, but it seems to be the norm. I recently saw a study that gives a hint as to why this may be so.

The short version is it seems regular sex increases the thickness of the part of the brain that picks up sensation from the clitoris. So it’s not just use-it-or-lose-it, it’s use-it-to-improve-it.

Now in all honesty I’m making a claim there which is suggested by but not proven by the study. The study showed correlation, but nothing more. I suspect future studies will dig into this and give us better data. But given what we already know about the brain and sex, it seems likely that having more sex improves your ability to feel and enjoy what is happening.

I’m not saying things like his skill, the condition of the relationship, or your comfort with your body and sex are irrelevant. However, if you want sex to be better physically there is growing evidence that the easy way to do that is to have more sex.
