Your husband is not a woman. I realise that is not news to you, but is it possible that there are places where you expect him to think/act/feel like a woman? Or maybe you are upset with him for not being like a woman in some way.

The last half a century there has been a push to tell us that men and women are really the same other than a few minor plumbing differences. All other differences, we are told, are a result of cultural biases and are not real. This is a lie. 

God made us male and female, and He made us different. I realise some folks have lied about those differences or tried to use them to make women second class citizens. But that is not on God, it’s just our human tendency to abuse the Word of God to get what we want.

I admit there are places I wish Lori were more like a man. It would make life easier. But that’s not how God made her and me wanting or trying to make her more like me will only make things worse. I need to accept how God made her and learn how to have a great marriage with who she is.
