A recent question of the day on the TMB forums asked individuals if they like being early, right on time, or don’t mind being late for appointments or events. And then asked if their spouse was the same way.
I know this is a problem area in many marriages.

As a kid it was the norm for my mom, my sister and me to be in the car waiting for my father. It frustrated my mother a good deal and she complained she was “always waiting on him”. But here’s the thing, we didn’t arrive late. My dad was good at knowing how long it took to get somewhere and at allowing extra time when there might be traffic. He didn’t want to be late, but he was happy with right on time or a bit early. My mother, however, was of the mind that being on time meant you were late. She was “always waiting” because she choose to be in the car early.
Neither of them was wrong. But their inability to find something they could both live with created a problem.
