Exercise Those PCs For Better Sex

You’ve probably heard that stronger pelvic floor muscles can benefit you sexually. The list of proven rewards from Kegel exercises sounds almost too good to be true. Some women orgasm for the first time when they start doing Kegels and others orgasm during intercourse for the first time. More common are reports of faster and stronger arousal, easier orgasms, and longer and stronger orgasms. And some women start having multiple orgasms. What’s more, women see, or should I say feel, results in as little as a week.

The pubococcygeal muscles commonly called the PC muscles form a sling that runs from the pubic bone to the tail bone. The muscles are what contract when you orgasm and these contractions can be felt in your vagina. One study showed stronger PCs changed the position of the clitoris when a woman is aroused, and this may be one reason for easier and better orgasms.

If sex is great, doing Kegels will probably make it even better. If you struggle with the physical aspects of sex, Kegels are likely to help. We have a how-to article on The Marriage Bed. Do be aware that the best results are achieved by exercising with something in the vagina. A device that allows you to measure muscle strength in some way is best. Something like the Rose Kegel Exercise System is a good low-cost way of doing this.
