Nine years ago on October 26th, I posted We Are Almost Ready! as the first entry of this blog. Five days later the real posts began, with me sharing what “explaining men” does and doesn’t mean.

It’s been an interesting journey. I hope some have learned half as much about men as I have learned about women from the dialogue in the comments. 

The subtitle of this blog is “Decoding the Male Mind”. Over the years I’ve had female blogging friends let me know when I was straying from that goal. More recently I’ve done some posts I knew were beyond that, tagging them with Colouring Outside The Lines. I’ve also done posts tagged as Sauce for the Gander where I suggest to you things I have told the gentlemen in the past or will be sharing with them the same day.

Still, the majority of what I post is at least in part an attempt to help you understand what’s going on in your husband’s mind. And of course, a good deal of it has been about understanding what’s going on in his pants. When it comes to sex both our bodies and minds are radically different, so it’s an area full of misunderstandings and cluelessness. The posts tagged as The Sex have been the most popular, which I fully expected.

As I move on to another year, I’d like to remind you that everyone is different. Occasionally, I say something that is true for 99% of men. Most of the time it’s 90% or less. For the most part, what I share as being “male” is either true for the majority of men or is a very common male thing that many women don’t know.

If you’ve found my ranting of any help, may I suggest you share the blog with some friends who might benefit? Feel free to give a disclaimer!

Finally, the next month or two, Lori and I will be announcing some new things we’ll be doing. After prayer, I have decided to continue doing this blog three days a week when those new projects come online. You might get a few reruns because of it, but most of you haven’t been here nine years, so it will be new to you.
