Over on the Marriage Bed forum, someone asked about men “playing with themselves”:

Men, how often do you sort of play with yourself for a bit. Not really masturbating but just pleasuring like a quick squeeze or a couple of strokes?

I skimmed the nearly one hundred answers and saw things like “yes”, “of course”, “several times a day”, and “every morning”. I only saw one guy say no, and he seemed to be concerned it would be wrong.

I suspect this all sounds odd to women. Most of you don’t do the same thing. Why is this nearly universal for men? The simple answer is that it feels nice. Not sexual, just pleasant. It’s not in the same category as masturbation, and it has nothing to do with arousal or how much sex he’s had. It might result in a partial erection, but often it doesn’t. It just feels nice.

BTW, I’ve heard some women call it childish. It’s not, and putting that on your husband won’t do anything good for him or your marriage. It’s a harmless part of who we are, so just let it be.
