I know many wives are concerned or upset by the fact that their husband masturbates. I ran across a study that put this issue in perspective. For most men, there is a negative relation between masturbation and sexual satisfaction. In other words, the more masturbation the less satisfied they are with sex, and the less masturbation the more satisfied they are with sex.

Yes, most men masturbate. But it’s very much second tier. It takes care of his need for release, but he doesn’t find it satisfying.

The majority of husband masturbation is because he’s not getting as much sex as he wants. He’d much rather be having sex with his wife. He would enjoy it more, and he would be more satisfied.

You should know some guys ask for less sex than they want and masturbate to make up the difference. He might do this because he knows his wife isn’t willing to have as much as he wants. Other guys assume their sex drive is unfair to their wife and never let her know how much they want.
